MARKETING PHILOSOPHY :

Many law firms list prior settlements on their websites. My philosophy is that these settlements are often misleading. For example many settlements that are listed as "work injuries" are often not workers compensation settlements. Instead they are verdicts or settlements for third party negligence claims that arose out of an injury at work. 

I will gladly represent clients in third party claims but will not list third party settlements in a manner that clients may confuse them with workers compensation settlements. 

Other firms list workers compensation verdicts that are over a projected lifetime. A verdict that is listed this way may appear to be a several hundred thousand dollar verdict. While the employee may receive this amount over the course of his expected lifetime, he will not receive this amount in a lump sum. In order to settle the case for a lump sum, the weekly award will have to be reduced to present cash value. 

Verdicts and settlements like those discussed above mislead potential clients into thinking they will get a specific lump sum for their workers compensation claim that is not realistic.

What I can assure you is that I have extensive experience in negotiating large lump sum settlements for virtually any type of personal injury you can imagine.
